"The 3rd annual Black Joy Parade is here! Join us for the largest free, family-friendly event of its kind in California. A parade and festival to celebrate the black experience past, present and future. We invite you to come be present, be creative, be open and be free.
The parade begins on 14th and Alice in Oakland, Ca at 12:30pm.
Following the parade, the Black Joy Parade festival will be held on 19th and Broadway and feature a curation of 100+ local artists, craftsman, food vendors, performances and more.
Admissions are free for all so bring your friends and family!
Donations will be taken at the festival door. Black Joy Parade is a registered 501c3 and all donations go to support local artists and production."

Life is Living is a community generated festival celebrating culture, music, art, politics and the spirit of Oakland through urban performance, intergenerational health, and environmental action.
Life is Living offers beauty, wellness, dance and theater zones; stages curated with the best live performances and top DJs, a vendor marketplace, and the annual free breakfast program, celebrating the revolutionary tradition started in West Oakland by the Black Panther Party over 50 years ago.
The festival is FREE for all.

Madow Futur has the privilege of hosting the fashion show at Life is Living. The show will feature a revolutionary presentation from Madow Futur and 100 Percent Limited.

The Festival takes place from 10am-7pm and the fashion show will run at 3pm.

Madow Futur will be joining Candice Antique for Felabration, a celebration of the life and music of Fela Kuti. Between musical performances, Madow Futur will put on a presentation of work to bridge the divide between Africans on the continent and the rest of the diaspora.
